What Permissions Does SafeRound Request?

SafeRound requests the following permissions:

• View and edit your spreadsheets in Google Sheets (/auth/spreadsheets)

  This is required so the add-on can read selected ranges, apply rounding logic, and write the adjusted values back to your spreadsheet.

• Access to specific files you use with this app in Google Drive (/auth/drive.file)

  This allows SafeRound to operate only on spreadsheets you explicitly open and use with the add-on. It does not provide access to other files in your Drive.

• Display custom interfaces inside Google Sheets (/auth/script.container.ui)

  This enables SafeRound to open a sidebar interface where you can select ranges, choose rounding options, and run the tool. No personal data is collected through this interface.

What Data Does SafeRound Access or Store?

SafeRound only processes the data you select in your Google Sheet while using the add-on. It does not:

• Collect, store, or share any personal or spreadsheet data externally

• Use external servers or third-party APIs

• Track user behavior or collect analytics

All processing happens within the Google Sheets environment and is performed locally using Google Apps Script.

How Is My Data Used?

Data from your spreadsheet is:

• Temporarily read for rounding and total preservation logic

• Written back into your sheet based on the output method you choose (e.g., overwrite or new sheet)

Once the operation is complete, no data is retained.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the app's functionality or permissions change. Significant updates will be noted within the add-on or on our landing page.

Thank you for using SafeRound, a Google Sheets add-on designed to round spreadsheet values while preserving column or row totals. By using SafeRound, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using SafeRound, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the add-on.

2. Description of Service

SafeRound is a tool that helps users round numerical values in Google Sheets while ensuring that totals remain accurate. The add-on is provided “as is” and may evolve over time with new features or changes.

3. Use of the Add-On

You agree to use SafeRound only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the add-on.

• Use the add-on in a way that harms or disrupts other users, services, or Google’s systems.

• Use it to process sensitive or legally protected data (such as personal health records, government IDs, etc.).

4. Access and Permissions

SafeRound requires access to certain Google Sheets and Drive functions to operate (detailed in the Privacy Policy). These permissions are used solely to enable the add-on’s core functionality. We do not store or share your data.

5. Fees and Payments

SafeRound may offer both free and paid plans. The free version may have feature or usage limits. Pricing, feature tiers, and upgrade options may change over time. Payments, if applicable, are processed securely via third-party platforms such as Gumroad or Stripe.

6. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of SafeRound at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from such changes.

7. Termination

You may stop using SafeRound at any time. We may suspend or revoke access if you violate these terms or misuse the service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

SafeRound is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will always be error-free or available. Use it at your own discretion and risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of SafeRound.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
